 Seasons of Change

Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

As time moves on forward, so do we and that also comes with many changes. This time once again, we found a new home, not a forever home but we shall enjoy it until it is time to move on. I have experienced the loss of a few good friends and close family members. As Christians, we are constantly challenged with the way of the world as many expect us to conform to a life away from God. To many unbelievers, it is expected of us and the situation is only going to get worst for us.

Today, I am grateful for the blessings and thankful for the pain as it reminds us of better things to come. It has been a rough week for me as I try to juggle homeschooling, moving, home and work. My 10 year old asked me today 'Why mummy are bad things happening to you after we moved.....you are exhausted, with a migraine and have trouble sleeping and people are mean at work' . I simply reminded him that life as a Christian is not without struggles but it is during those times that God is closest with us and lifting us up. It is a reminder of how much we need HIM. Then I told him that during my hardest day just yesterday, He sent me a sister in Christ to lift me up twice in the same day for both shifts. He simply knows just what we need. Never ever stop praising Christ even if you get knock down!

The hardest part is trying to get it together at work as not many are that understanding nor have empathy these days. If you are reading this, you are not alone. Best thing we can do is to be the person that reaches out to that someone who may just need a listening ear and shoulder to cry on. People are too wrapped up in impressing superiors that they have forgotten the simple act of kindness and compassion. I refuse to conform and neither should anyone. It could save a life!

It has been a roller coaster year and a strange one indeed with this virus taking over our lives. Through this though, our family has certainly been blessed. Faith over fear comes to mind constantly!

Now it is time to regroup and focus on new things that God has planned for this family and especially for me. I do not know yet what that maybe but will embrace boldly and bravely.

Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
