Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Glaze


Ingredients for Dough

4  cups of flour
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1/3 sugar
1/3 butter/shortening
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
Vanilla


Ingredients for Filling

2/3 packed brown sugar
2 tbs cinnamon

Mix them in a bowl and set aside. Optional- Add a cup of chopped walnuts to the mix.

Glaze

2 oz cream cheese
2 tbs milk
Confectioners' sugar according to your taste
2 tbs butter

Mix them all up till smooth. Set aside.


Method

Mix the yeast and flour together and set aside. Then melt the butter and sugar together with the milk and salt in a small pot- 115 F.




Once melted, add vanilla and then mix it with the  flour mixture.  Mix till is all comes together. Add eggs. Place dough on a floured surface and knead for 6-8 minutes. Let is sit in a greased bowl covered for an hour, until it double in size. Punch the air out slowly and let sit for 10 minutes.

Roll dough out into a rectangle 12 x 9. Spread melted butter on the dough. Next, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture onto the dough, evenly.  Roll it length wise into a log. Cut it up to 12 pieces and place in a buttered pan.

Bake it at 375 F for 20-25 mins


Spread Glaze on the rolls and EAT!

Dessert is served!
